Muhammad ibn Isa, with his chain of narration from the Truthful Ones (Imams عليه السلام), peace be upon them, said: Imam عليه السلام said: “And repeat on the night of the twenty-third of the Month of Ramadan this supplication in prostration, standing, sitting, and in every state and throughout the entire month, and whenever and however it is possible for you, and whenever it comes to you during your lifetime, say after glorifying Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted, and sending blessings upon the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, peace be upon him and his family: ‘O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, be for Your representative (so-and-so), son of (so-and-so), in this hour and in every hour, a guardian, a protector, a leader, a helper, a guide, and an eye, until You عز وجل settle him in Your land in obedience and cause him to dwell in it for a long time. The supplication of the Fourth night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ Splitter of the dawn, and Maker of the night for rest, and (Maker) of the sun and the moon as a reckoning. O’ Mighty, O’ All-Knowing. O’ Possessor of grace and bounty and power and might and excellence and generosity, O’ Possessor of majesty and honour. O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ All-Beneficent, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Unique, O’ Single, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Manifest, O’ Hidden, O’ Ever-Living there is no God but You عز وجل. To You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, the Highest Attributes, the Grandeur, and the Blessings. I ask You عز وجل to send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, And to place my name on this night among the fortunate ones, And my soul with the martyrs, And my good deeds in the highest of the high, And my bad deeds forgiven; And that You عز وجل grant me certainty that directly touches my heart, and faith that removes doubt from me, and contentment with what You عز وجل have apportioned for me, And “Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201), And grant me in it Your remembrance, and gratitude to You عز وجل, and yearning toward You عز وجل, and turning back in repentance, and repentance itself, And success in that which You عز وجل granted success to (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, Your blessings be upon him and upon all of them. The supplication of the Fifth night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ Maker of the night as a covering, and the day for livelihood, and the earth as a resting place, and the mountains as pegs. O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Subduer, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Most Compassionate, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ All-Hearing, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Near, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Responder, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, and the Highest Attributes, and the Blessings, and the Majesty. The supplication of the Sixth night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ Maker of the night and the day as two signs, O’ He عز وجل who effaced the sign of the night and made the sign of the day visible so that they may seek bounty from Him عز وجل and (attain) His عز وجل pleasure. O’ You عز وجل who explains all things in detail, explanation upon explanation! O’ Glorious! O’ Bestower! O’ Allah عز وجل! O’ Generous! O’ Allah عز وجل! O’ Allah عز وجل! O’ Allah عز وجل! To You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, and the Highest Attributes, and the Majesty, and the Blessings. I ask You عز وجل to send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and to place my name on this night among the fortunate ones, and my soul among the martyrs, and my good deeds in the highest ranks, and my bad deeds forgiven, and to grant me certainty that directly touches my heart, and faith that removes doubt from me, and make me content with what You عز وجل have apportioned for me. The supplication of the Seventh night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ One who stretches the shadow and had You عز وجل willed, You عز وجل would have made it still and made “the sun its guide” (Surah Al-Furqan 25:45), then You عز وجل drew it in to Yourself “with a gradual drawing in.” (Surah Al-Furqan 25:46) O’ Possessor of generosity, bounty, majesty, and blessings there is no God but You عز وجل “Knower of the unseen and the witnessed,” … “the All-Beneficent, the Most Merciful.” (Surah Al-Hashr 59:22). There is no God but You عز وجل. O’ Holy One, O’ Source of Peace, O’ Faithful, O’ Guardian, O’ Mighty, O’ Compeller, O’ Supreme, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Creator, O’ Maker, O’ Fashioner, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى. O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, and the Highest Attributes, and the Majesty, and the Blessings. The supplication of the Eighth night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ Keeper of the night in the air, and Keeper of light in the sky, and Preventer of the heaven “from falling upon the earth except by His permission,” (Surah Al-An’am 6:59), And the One عز وجل who restrains both “from vanishing,” (Surah Ibrahim 14:19), O’ All-Knowing, O’ All-Forgiving, O’ Everlasting, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Inheritor, O’ Resurrector “of those in the graves,” (Surah Fatir 35:22) O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, and the Highest Attributes, and the Majesty, and the Blessings. I ask You عز وجل to send blessings upon Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and to place my name on this night among the fortunate ones, and my soul among the martyrs, and my good deeds in the highest ranks, and my bad deeds forgiven, and that You عز وجل grant me certainty that directly touches my heart, and faith that removes doubt from me, and make me content with what You عز وجل have apportioned for me, And “Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201), And grant me in it Your remembrance, and gratitude to You عز وجل, and yearning toward You عز وجل, and turning to You عز وجل, and repentance, and success in that which You عز وجل granted success to (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى send blessings upon him and his family. The supplication of the Ninth night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ One who wraps the night over the day, and wraps the day over the night, O’ All-Knowing, O’ All-Wise, O’ Lord عز وجل of the lords and Master of the masters there is no God but You عز وجل. O’ You عز وجل who are “closer to me than my jugular vein,” (Surah Qaf 50:16) O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, and the Highest Attributes, and the Majesty, and the Blessings. I ask You عز وجل to send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and to place my name on this night among the fortunate ones, and my soul among the martyrs, and my good deeds in the highest ranks, and my bad deeds forgiven, and that You عز وجل grant me certainty that directly touches my heart, and faith that removes doubt from me, and make me content with what You عز وجل have apportioned for me, And “Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201), And grant me in it Your remembrance, and gratitude to You عز وجل, and yearning toward You عز وجل, and turning to You عز وجل, and repentance, and success in what You عز وجل granted success to (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى send blessings upon him and his family. The supplication of the Tenth night of the Month of Ramadan: All praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, there is no partner with Him عز وجل. And all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, in the manner that befits the generosity of His عز وجل Face and the might of His عز وجل Majesty, and as He عز وجل is worthy of. O’ Holy One, O’ Light, O’ Light of Sanctity, O’ Most Glorified, O’ Ultimate Point of Glorification, O’ All-Beneficent, O’ Doer of mercy, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ All-Knowing, O’ Most Great, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Subtle, O’ Majestic, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ All-Hearing, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ All-Seeing, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, and the Highest Attributes, and the Majesty, and the Blessings.
