عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ الْمُرَاجَعَةُ هِيَ الْجِمَاعُ وَ إِلَّا فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ وَاحِدَةٌ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated, from his father from ibn abu Nasr from ‘Abd al-Karim from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Going back to one’s wife is to go to bed with her, otherwise, it is counted as one divorce.”’ 

عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي رَجُلٍ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ لَهُ أَنْ يُرَاجِعَ وَ قَالَ لَا يُطَلِّقُ التَّطْلِيقَةَ الْأُخْرَى حَتَّى يَمَسَّهَا .

2. Ali has narrated from his father and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan all from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “About the case of a man who divorces his wife, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘He has the right to go back to his wife. Another divorce cannot take place unless he touches her (goes to bed with her).”’ 

عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِذَا طَلَّقَ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَ أَشْهَدَ شَاهِدَيْنِ عَدْلَيْنِ فِي قُبُلِ عِدَّتِهَا فَلَيْسَ لَهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا حَتَّى تَنْقَضِيَ عِدَّتُهَا إِلَّا أَنْ يُرَاجِعَهَا .

3. Ali has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ibn ‘Udhaynah from Bukayr who has said the following: “I once heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), saying, ‘If one divorces his wife in the presence of two just witnesses at a time when commencement of waiting period is possible, he then cannot divorce her before the end of waiting period unless he goes back to her.’” 

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ فِي طُهْرٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ جِمَاعٍ ثُمَّ يُرَاجِعُهَا فِي يَوْمِهِ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقُهَا تَبِينُ مِنْهُ بِثَلَاثِ تَطْلِيقَاتٍ فِي طُهْرٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ خَالَفَ السُّنَّةَ قُلْتُ فَلَيْسَ يَنْبَغِي لَهُ إِذَا هُوَ رَاجَعَهَا أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا إِلَّا فِي طُهْرٍ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْتُ حَتَّى يُجَامِعَ قَالَ نَعَمْ .

4. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Safwan from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ibrahim (a.s.), about the case of a man who divorces his wife in a Hayd (menses)-free period and without sexual intercourse; then goes back to her on the same day then divorces her with three divorces in one Hayd (menses)-free period. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is against Sunnah .’ I then asked, ‘Is it not the case that if he goes back to her to divorce her he must do so in a Hayd (menses)-free period?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, that is correct.’ I then said, ‘So that he can go to bed with her.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, that is correct.’” 

حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ الرَّجْعَةُ الْجِمَاعُ وَ إِلَّا فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ وَاحِدَةٌ .

5. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from ibn Sama‘ah from Safwan from ibn Muskan from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Going back is going to bed with her, otherwise, it is only one divorce.’”
