al-Zukhruf (Ornaments)

ٱلْزُّخْرُف

43:36

وَمَن

يَعْشُ

عَن

ذِكْرِ

الرَّحْمَنِ

نُقَيِّضْ

لَهُ

شَيْطَانًا

فَهُوَ

لَهُ

قَرِينٌ

wa-man yaʿshu ʿan dhikri r-raḥmāni nuqayyiḍ lahū shayṭānan fa-huwa lahū qarīnun

We shall make satan the companion of whoever ignores the remembrance of the Beneficent God.

And whoever

turns away

يَعْشُ

from

عَن

(the) remembrance

ذِكْرِ

(of) the Most Gracious

الرَّحْمَنِ

We appoint

نُقَيِّضْ

for him

لَهُ

a devil

شَيْطَانًا

then he

فَهُوَ

(is) to him

لَهُ

a companion

قَرِينٌ
