سوره مریم / آیه 16 - 21

۱۶۔ واذکرفی الکتب مریم اذ نتبذت من اھلھا مکاناشرقیا ۱۷۔فاتخذ ت من دونھم حجابا فارسلنآالیھاروحنافتمثل اھابشراسویا ۱۸۔قالت انی اعوذ بالرحمن منک ان کنت تقیا ۱۹ ۔ قال انماانا رسولربک لاھب لک غلمازکیا ۲۰۔قالت انی یکون لی غلٰم و لم یمسسنی بشرو لم اک بغیا ۲۱۔ قال کذ ٰ قال ربک ھو علی ھین ولنجعلہ اٰیةللناس ورحمةمنا وکان امرمقضیا ترجمہ ۱۶۔اس کتا ب (قرآن ) میں مریم کو یاد کرو ، اس وقت جبکہ وہ اپنے گھر والوں سے جداہوئی اور مشرق کی جانب (ایک مقام پر جاکر ) ٹھرگئی ۔ ۱۷۔ اور اپنے اور ان کے درمیان پردہ ڈال لیا (تاکہ اس کی خلوتگا ہر لحاظ سے عبادت کے لئے ہو ) اس وقت ہم نے اپنی روح اس کی طرف بھیجی اور اوہ بے عیب و نقص انسانی شکل میں مریم کے سامنے حاضر ہوا ۔ ۱۸۔ (وہ بہت ڈری اور ) اس نے اکہا : میںخدائے رحمن کی طرف تجھ سے پناہ مانگتی ہوں ،اگرتو پرہیز گار ہے ۔ ۱۹۔ اس نے کہا : میں تیرے پرور دگار کا بھیجا ہواہوں (میں اس لئے آیا ہوں ) تاکہ تجھے ایک پاک و پاکیز ہ بیٹا بخشوں ۔ ۲۰۔ اس نے کہا :یہ کیسے ممکن ہے کہ میرے ہاں بیٹا ہو حالانکہ اب تک مجھے کسی انسان نے چھواتک نہیں اور میں بد کار عورت بھی نہیں ہوں ۔ ۲۱ ۔ اس نے کہا : بات یہی ہے کہ تیرے پروردگار نے کہا ہے کہ یہ کام میرے لئے آسان ہے ۔ہم چاہتے ہیں کہ اسے لوگوں کے لیے نشانی قرار دیں اور وہ ہماری طرف سے ر حمت ہو اور یہ فیصلہ شدہ امر ہے (اور اس میں گفتگو کی گنجائش نہیں ہے ) ۔

Note importance of prayers, fast and honouring parents, as neglect thereof, without penance is Eternal Condemnation of hell. Parental obligations succeed those of Divinity and Divine Lights, and like latter are impossible to be compensated. Often cupidity of his wife to man in power, health and wealth misleads him to liken it with a mother’s love, which is sublime and must be avoided. Note passion may be blind but to say love is likewise is a libel, a lie.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 19:17] (see commentary for verse 16) Ruhana (Our spirit) refers to angel Jibra-il. Maryam went into privacy, from her people and from people in general, for prayer and devotion. It was in this state of purity that Jibra-il appeared to her in the form of a man. It means the spiritual power of Jibra-il made her see him as a man otherwise he remained a spirit, so as to solace her which he could not do unless she was able to see him with her own eyes. Also refer to the commentary of Hud: 69 to 78 for appearance of angels in human form before Ibrahim and Lut. Aqa Mahdi Puya says: Some commentators, with ulterior motives, translate fa as "and" and ruh as "inspiration", in order to indicate that Maryam did not conceive Isa through the divine light but it was a man of flesh and blood who gave her a son. It is done to deny the miraculous birth of Isa in particular and miracles wrought by Allah through His messengers in general. They say that the spirit appeared before Maryam in her vision; and on this basis deny the physical ascension (mi-raj) of the Holy Prophet. For such people the Quran says: "As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, their (stubborn) hearts are unyielding (to the truth), and they are arrogant" (Nahl:22)
