555. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al-Hakam, from Abdullah Bin Yahya Al-Kahily, who has said: Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام regarding the Statement of Allah عز وجل Mighty and Majestic: “[10:101] and signs and warners do not avail a people who would not believe”. He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘When ascension took place with the Messenger
Jibraeel came up to him
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم with Al-Buraaq (the ride). So he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم rode on it and came to Bayt Al-Maqdas (Jerusalem). So he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم met the ones whom he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم brothers from the Prophets
Then he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم returned and narrated it to his
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم came to Bayt Al-Maqdas, and returned during the night. Jibraeel came to me
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم with Al-Buraaq, so I
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم rode upon it, and the sign of that is that I
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم passed by the camels of Abu Sufyan being watered at the watering hole of the clan of so and so. A red camel of theirs had strayed and the group were looking for it. So some of them said to the others, ‘But rather he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم went to Syria whilst riding at speed whereas you have been to Syria and recognise it. So ask him
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم about its markets, and its doors, and its businessmen’. So they said, ‘O Messenger
عز وجل, how is Syria, and how are its markets?’ He
عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘The Messenger
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, when asked about something that he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم did not recognise, he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم would not describe it until after seeing it in front of him
So when they were in the middle of that, Jibraeel came up to him
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and said: ‘O Rasool Allah
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, this here is Syria which has been raised for you
So the Rasool Allah
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم turned and visualised Syria, with its doors, and its markets, and its businessmen’. So he
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said: ‘Where are the questioners about Syria?’ So they said to him
It is so and so and so and so (Abu Bakr and Umar)’. So the Rasool Allah
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم answered them with regards to all of what they asked from him
Even then they did not believe from among them, except for a few, and it is the Statement of Allah
Blessed and High: “
[10:101] and signs and warners do not avail a people who would not believe”. Then Abu Abdullah
عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘We
عليه الصلاة والسلام seek Refuge with Allah
عز وجل from disbelief in Allah
عز وجل and in His
Rasool
We
عز وجل and in His
Messenger
