A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman from al-Walid ibn Sabih who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah , saying, ‘It is not good for one of old age to spend the night very light, instead it is better for him to pass the night with full stomach.’”
