5. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Kufiy from ‘Ubays ibn Hisham from Muhammad ibn abu Hamzah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah , about the case of a man who marries a woman and her father gives her a slave-girl with whom he has gone to bed, as a gift; if her husband can go to bed with the slave-girl. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”
