7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from Zurarah who has said the following: “I once said to abu Ja‘far (a.s), ‘I am afraid that my getting married to one who does not believe as I do is not lawful. He (the Imam) said, ‘Your marriage with a simple-minded woman is not unlawful. 5 I then asked, ‘Who is a simple-minded one? He (the Imam) said, ‘They are those who are weak and who are not hostile (to ‘ATmmah) and do not know what you believe in.”’
