4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn Ali from Ali ibn ‘Abd Allah and ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad from abu Khadijah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has condemned transvestites (those of men who pretend to be like women and women who pretend to be like men).’ He (the Imam) said, ‘They are hermaphrodites who engage in sexual intercourse with each other.’”
