Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Ali ibn al-Hasan, from Muhammad ibn Isa, from Ayyub ibn Yaqtin or someone else from them (Imams عليه السلام), peace be upon them: The supplication of the last ten nights (Month of Ramadan). The supplication of the First night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ One عز وجل who causes the night to enter into the day, and causes the day to enter into the night, and brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living, O’ Provider of ‘whom He wills without reckoning’, (Surah Az-Zumar 39:52) O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Merciful, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Compassionate, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, and the Highest Examples, and Majesty, and Blessings. I ask You عز وجل to send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and upon his household, and that You عز وجل place my name on this night among the fortunate ones, and my soul among the martyrs, and my good deeds in the highest of the high (Illiyyin), and my misdeeds forgiven. And that You عز وجل bestow upon me certainty which directly reaches my heart, and faith that removes doubt from me, and that You عز وجل make me content with what You عز وجل have allotted for me. And (that You عز وجل grant me what You عز وجل promised in Your words): “Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the burning Fire.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201) And grant me in it remembrance of You عز وجل, gratitude to You عز وجل, longing toward You عز وجل, turning back to You عز وجل, and success in that which You عز وجل granted success to (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, peace be upon them. The supplication of the Second night of the Month of Ramadan: “O’ You عز وجل who draws out the day from the night, then suddenly we are in darkness, and who causes the sun to flow ‘in its fixed course,’ (Surah Ya Sin 36:38) by Your decree, O’ Mighty, O’ Knowing; and (You عز وجل are) the One who determined for the moon “phases until it returns like the old, dried palm stalk,” (Surah Ya Sin 36:39) O’ Light of every light, and the ultimate object of every desire, and the Possessor of every blessing, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Merciful, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Holy, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ One, O’ Unique, O’ Solitary, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, the Highest Examples, and Majesty.” Then return to the first supplication at the words: ‘And I ask You to send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم,’ to the end of the supplication. The supplication of the Third night of the Month of Ramadan: O’ Lord عز وجل of the Night of Qadr, and the One who made it better “than a thousand months,” (Surah Al-Qadr 97:3) and Lord عز وجل of the night and the day, the mountains and the seas, the darknesses and the lights, the earth and the sky, O’ Creator, O’ Fashioner, O’ Most Compassionate, O’ Most Generous Bestower, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Merciful, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Self-Subsisting, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O Originator of the heavens and the earth, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, to You عز وجل belong the Most Beautiful Names, the Highest Examples, the Blessings, and the Majesty. I ask You عز وجل to send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and to place my name on this night among the fortunate, and my soul among the martyrs and my good deeds in the highest ranks (Illiyyin), and my misdeeds forgiven, and that You عز وجل bestow upon me certainty that directly reaches my heart, and faith that removes doubt from me, and that You عز وجل make me content with what You عز وجل have allotted for me, and (grant me) “good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the burning Fire,” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201) and grant me in it remembrance of You عز وجل, gratitude to You عز وجل, longing toward You عز وجل, returning to You عز وجل, repentance, and success in what You عز وجل granted success to (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, peace be upon them.
