Muhammad b. Ibrahim b. Ishaq narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Hamadani the servant of Bani Hashim informed us. He said: al-Mundhir b. Muhammad informed us. He said: Ja`far b. Sulayman narrated to us from his father from `Amr b. Khalid. He said: Zayd b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib said:

In every age there is a man from us, the Ahl al-Bayt, whom Allah uses as a Proof over His creation. The Proof in our age is my cousin Ja`far b. Muhammad – he does not misguide those who follow him, and he does not guide those who oppose him.
