Ahmad b. `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to me from my grandfather from `Ali b. Mu`abbad from al-Husayn b. Khalid from Abi’l Hasan `Ali b. Musa al-Rida from his father Musa b. Ja`far from his father Ja`far b. Muhammad form his father Muhammad b. `Ali from his father `Ali b. al-Husayn from his father al-Husayn b. `Ali from his father Amir al-Mu’minin `Ali b. Abi Talib . He said:

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Gabriel informed me that Allah said: “`Ali b. Abi Talib is My Proof over My creation and those who take on My religion. The Imams from his descendants will establish My Order and call to My way. By them, I repel chastisement from My male and female servants. By them, I bring down My mercy.”
