Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from Ayyub b. Nuh from Safwan b. Yahya from Hisham b. Salim from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq . He said:

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Adam complained to Allah about distress and grief, so Gabriel came down to him and said to him: O Adam! Say: “there is no ability nor power except by Allah (la hawla wala quwwata illa billah)”. So, he said it, and the whispering [of his distress] and the grief dissipated.
