13 - حدثنا الحسين بن أحمد بن إدريس (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا أبي، قال: حدثني محمد بن علي بن محبوب، عن محمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن أبي داود المسترق، واسمه سليمان بن سفيان، قال: قال الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام):
يقوم الناس عن فرشهم على ثلاثة أصناف: فصنف له ولا عليه، وصنف عليه ولا له، وصنف لا عليه ولا له، فأما الصنف الذي له ولا عليه، فهو الذي يقوم من منامه ويتوضأ ويصلي ويذكر الله عز وجل، والصنف الذي عليه ولا له، فهو الذي لم يزل في معصية الله حتى نام فذاك الذي عليه ولا له، والصنف الذي لا له ولا عليه، فهو الذي لا يزال نائما حتى يصبح، فذاك لا له ولا عليه (2).
Al-Husayn b. Ahmad b. Idris
narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us. He said: Muhamad b. `Ali b. Mahbub narrated to me from Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab from Abi Dawud al-Mustaraq – and his name is Sulayman b. Sufyan. He said:
Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad said: Three types of people get up from their beds: (1) One whose waking is for him and not against him, (2) one whose waking is against him and not for him, and (3) one whose waking is neither for him nor against him. As for the first type, he is one who deliberately awakes from sleep, performs ablution, prays, and remembers Allah (dhikr). As for the second type, he is one who does not stop disobeying Allah until he sleeps again – so that will be against him and not for him. As for the third type, he is one who does not stop sleeping until he awakes in the morning – so that will neither be against him nor for him.
