Ja`far b. `Ali b. al-Hasan b. `Ali b. `Abdillah b. al-Mughira al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: My grandfather al-Hasan b. `Ali narrated to me from his grandfather `Abdullah b. al-Mughira from Isma`il b. Muslim al-Sukuni from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said:

The Prophet (s) said: Allah revealed to Dawud: “O Dawud! Just as the Sun does not decrease for he who basks in it, likewise, My mercy does not decrease for he who enters into it. Just as evil omen does not harm he who does not see it, likewise, the disseminators of evil omen will not be saved from the calamity. Just as the closest people to Me on the Day of Resurrection will be the humble, likewise, the furthest people from Me on the Day of Resurrection will be the arrogant.”
