My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. al-Husayn b. Sa`id narrated to us from Muhammad b. Jamhur al-`Ummi from `Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Najran from `Asim b. Humayd from Muhammad b. Muslim from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq . He said:

Whosoever of our Shi`a maintains forty hadiths, Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection as a learned scholar, and He will not punish him.
