11 - حدثنا علي بن عبد الله الوراق، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن إبراهيم بن مهزيار، عن أخيه علي، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن الحارث بن محمد بن النعمان الاحول صاحب الطاق، عن جميل بن صالح، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام)، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله):
من أحب أن يكون أكرم الناس فليتق الله، ومن أحب أن يكون أتقى الناس فليتوكل على الله، ومن أحب أن يكون أغنى الناس فليكن بما عند الله عز وجل أوثق منه بما في يده. ثم قال (صلى الله عليه وآله): ألا أنبئكم بشر الناس؟ قالوا: بلى، يا رسول الله. قال: من أبغض الناس وأبغضه الناس. ثم قال: ألا أنبئكم بشر من هذا؟ قالوا: بلى، يا رسول الله. قال: الذي لا يقيل عثرة، ولا يقبل معذرة، ولا يغفر ذنبا. ثم قال: ألا أنبئكم بشر من هذا؟ قالوا: بلى، يا رسول الله؟ قال: من لا يؤمن شره، ولا يرجى خيره، إن عيسى بن مريم (عليه السلام) قام في بني إسرائيل فقال: يا بني إسرائيل، لا تحدثوا بالحكمة الجهال فتظلموها، ولا تمنعوها أهلها فتظلموهم، ولا تعينوا الظالم على ظلمه فيبطل فضلكم الامور ثلاثة: أمر تبين لك رشده فاتبعه، وأمر تبين لك غيه فاجتنبه، وأمر اختلف فيه فرده إلى الله عز وجل (1).
`Ali b. `Abdillah al-Warraq narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdillah narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Mehzayar from his brother `Ali from al-Husayn b. Sa`id from al-Harith b. Muhammad b. al-Nu`man al-Ahwal Sahib al-Taq from Jamil b. Salih from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq 
from his forefathers . He said:
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever would love to be the noblest of people should fear Allah. Whoever would love to be the most Godfearing of people should rely on Allah. Whoever would love to be the richest of people should have more trust in what is with Allah than what is in his hand. Then, he (s) said: Shall I not tell you who is the evilest of people? They said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: He who hates the people and is hated by the people. Then, he said: Shall I not tell you who is eviller than this? They said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: He who does not dismiss an offense, nor accept an excuse, nor forgive a trespassing. Then, he (s) said: Shall I not tell you who is eviller than this? They said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: He from whose evil the people are not safe from, and whose good is not even hoped for. Surely, `Isa b. Maryam stood among the Children of Israel and said: “O Children of Israel! Do not impart wisdom to fools, for you will have oppressed it; and do not prevent it from its people, for you will have oppressed them.” Do not assist an oppressor in his oppression, for that would invalidate your virtue. There are three matters: (1) a matter whose rightness is apparent to you, so follow it; (2) a matter whose misguidance is apparent to you, so avoid it; (3) a matter that is disagreed upon, so relegate that to Allah.
