The compiler of this book, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on him, said: "Whoever attributes to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted, a face like other faces has committed disbelief and shirk (associating partners with Allah سبحانه وتعالى). The 'face' (wajh) of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, as mentioned, refers to His Prophets and His Proofs (Hujjah) - peace be upon them - through whom people turn to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, seek to know Him, and understand His religion. On the Day of Judgment, gazing upon them is a reward greater than any other reward. Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Almighty, said: 'Everyone upon it [the earth] will perish, and there will remain the Face of your Lord عز وجل, Owner of Majesty and Honor.' (Surah Ar-Rahman 55:26-27) And He also said: 'So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face of Allah سبحانه وتعالى.' (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:115) Meaning, turning towards Allah سبحانه وتعالى is achieved through them. The expressions of the Qur'an must not be denied or distorted”.
