2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Safwan al-Jammal from abu Hamzah al-Thumaliy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , once said, ‘O abu Hamzah, Wudu (washing) before and after eating food removes poverty.’ I then said, I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, does it remove poverty?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it removes poverty.’”

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Qasim ibn Yahya from his grandfather Hisham ibn Salim ibn Rashid from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Washing hands before and after eating food removes stains from clothes and clears eyesight.’”

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘If one likes to see blessings in his house to increase, he must take wudu for taking food.’”

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from abu ‘ Awf al-Bajaliy who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah , saying, ‘Wudu before and after eating food increases one’s sustenance.’ It is narrated that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Wudu before eating food removes poverty and that which is after food removes depression.’”
