4 Aḥadīth

1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (a.s) عَنِ الْعَزْلِ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ.


1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu ‘ Abd Allah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s), about withdrawing before semen discharge. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is up to the man’s choice.’”

2- أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَاصِمِيُّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (a.s) قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِالْعَزْلِ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ الْحُرَّةِ إِنْ أَحَبَّ صَاحِبُهَا وَإِنْ كَرِهَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنَ الأمْرِ شَيْ‏ءٌ.


2. Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-‘Asemiy has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hassan ibn Faddal from Ali ibn Asbat from his uncle Ya’qub from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s), has said, ‘It is not unlawful to withdraw before semen discharge from the woman who is free, if he likes even if she may not like. She does not have any say in it.’”

3- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (a.s) عَنِ الْعَزْلِ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ يَصْرِفُهُ حَيْثُ شَاءَ.


3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s), about withdrawing before semen discharge. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is up to the man. He deals with it as he chooses.’”

4- أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (a.s) قَالَ كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِما السَّلام) لا يَرَى بِالْعَزْلِ بَأْساً فَقَرَأَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلى‏ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قالُوا بَلى‏ فَكُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ أَخَذَ اللهُ مِنْهُ الْمِيثَاقَ فَهُوَ خَارِجٌ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ صَمَّاءَ.


4. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman al- Fiaddhdha’ who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s), has said that Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s), did not consider withdrawing before semen discharge as unlawful and he (the Imam) read this verse, ‘When your Lord took of children of Adam from their backs their offspring and made them to bear witness for their souls about the question, “Am I not your Lord?” They replied, “Yes, You are our Lord.’” (7:171) Therefore, everything from which Allah has taken a covenant comes out even if it is on a blind (solid) rock.’”
