4. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman al- Fiaddhdha’ who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that Ali ibn al-Husayn , did not consider withdrawing before semen discharge as unlawful and he (the Imam) read this verse, ‘When your Lord took of children of Adam from their backs their offspring and made them to bear witness for their souls about the question, “Am I not your Lord?” They replied, “Yes, You are our Lord.’” (7:171) Therefore, everything from which Allah has taken a covenant comes out even if it is on a blind (solid) rock.’”
