Al-Kāfi

1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ جَمِيعاً عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ اشْرَبْ مِنْ سُؤْرِ الْحَائِضِ وَلاَ تَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan all from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mansur ibn Hazim from ‘Anbasah who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that it is permissible for you to drink the leftover water from which a woman during her Hayd (menses) has drunk but do not take Wudu 5 with it.”

2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعِيصِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) هَلْ يَغْتَسِلُ الرَّجُلُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ يُفْرِغَانِ عَلَى أَيْدِيهِمَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَضَعَا أَيْدِيَهُمَا فِي الإِنَاءِ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ سُؤْرِ الْحَائِضِ فَقَالَ لاَ تَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ وَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ سُؤْرِ الْجُنُبِ إِذَا كَانَتْ مَأْمُونَةً ثُمَّ تَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُدْخِلَهُمَا فِي الإِنَاءِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يَغْتَسِلُ هُوَ وَعَائِشَةُ فِي إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَيَغْتَسِلاَنِ جَمِيعاً.

2. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-‘Is ibn al-Qasim who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Can a man and a woman take a Ghusl (bath) from the same water container? 5 He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, they can do so. They first must pour water on their hands and then place their hands in the water container. 5 I (the narrator) then asked, about the leftover water from which a woman during her Hayd (menses) has drunk. He (the Imam) said, ‘Do not use it for Wudu 5 but it is permissible to use for Wudu 5 the leftover water from which a person after sexual relations has drank if such person is trustworthy (in matters of cleanliness). She then must wash her hands before placing them in the water container. The Messenger of Allah and ‘A’isha would take Ghusl (bath) together from one water container.

3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَلاَءِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْحَائِضِ يُشْرَبُ مِنْ سُؤْرِهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ وَلاَ يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Ftakam from al-Husayn ibn abu al-‘Ala’ who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Can a woman during her Hayd (menses) drink water which is her own leftover? 5 He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is permissible for her to do so but she must not use it for Wudu 5 .

4ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَ يَتَوَضَّأُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ فَضْلِ الْمَرْأَةِ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَتْ تَعْرِفُ الْوُضُوءَ وَلاَ يَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ سُؤْرِ الْحَائِضِ.

4. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad al-Washsha’ from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman from ibn abu Ya‘fur who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if a man can take Wudu 5 with the water from which a woman has drunk. He (the Imam) said, ‘(Yes, he can do so) if she knows Wudu 5 , but one cannot take Wudu 5 with water which is left over of a woman who experiences Hayd (menses).

5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الأعْرَجِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ سُؤْرِ الْيَهُودِيِّ وَالنَّصْرَانِيِّ فَقَالَ لاَ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mughirah from Sa‘id al-‘Araj who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the leftover of Jews and Christians. He (the Imam) said, ‘No.

6ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ نُوحٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ سُؤْرَ وَلَدِ الزِّنَا وَسُؤْرَ الْيَهُودِيِّ وَالنَّصْرَانِيِّ وَالْمُشْرِكِ وَكُلِّ مَا خَالَفَ الإِسْلاَمَ وَكَانَ أَشَدَّ ذَلِكَ عِنْدَهُ سُؤْرُ النَّاصِبِ.

6. Ahmad ibn Idris has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from Ayyub ibn Nuh from al-Washsha’ from those whom he has mentioned who have said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), did not like the leftover of a person born out of wedlock, Jews, Christians and pagans and whoever opposed Islam and most serious to him was the leftover of one hostile to ’A’immah, ‘Alayhim al-Salam.”
