1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يُتَوَضَّأَ مِمَّا شَرِبَ مِنْهُ مَا يُؤْكَلُ لَحْمُهُ.
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that it is permissible to use for Wudu’ the water from which edible animals have drunk.”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَالْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ فَضْلُ الْحَمَامَةِ وَالدَّجَاجِ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ وَالطَّيْرِ.
2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid and Al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that it is permissible to use for Wudu’ the water from which pigeons, chickens or birds have drunk.”
3ـ أَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ يُشْرَبُ سُؤْرُ شَيْءٍ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ وَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَمَّا الإِبِلُ وَالْبَقَرُ وَالْغَنَمُ فَلاَ بَأْسَ.
3. Abu Dawud has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from his brother al-Hassan from Zur’ah, from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “I once asked him (the Imam), ‘Alayhi al-Salam, ‘Is it permissible to use for Wudu’ the leftover water from which animals have drunk?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘As far as the camel, cow and sheep are concerned, it is permissible.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ إِنَّ فِي كِتَابِ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَنَّ الْهِرَّ سَبُعٌ فَلاَ بَأْسَ بِسُؤْرِهِ وَإِنِّي لأَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الله أَنْ أَدَعَ طَعَاماً لأَنَّ هِرّاً أَكَلَ مِنْهُ.
4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from ‘Umar ibn ‘Udhaynah from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that it is in the book of Ali, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, that cats are beasts but there is no offense in using the leftover of what they eat. I feel embarrassed before Allah to throw away a food from which a cat has eaten.’”
5ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُصَدِّقِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ سُئِلَ عَمَّا تَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ الْحَمَامَةُ فَقَالَ كُلُّ مَا أُكِلَ لَحْمُهُ فَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ سُؤْرِهِ وَاشْرَبْ وَعَمَّا شَرِبَ مِنْهُ بَازٌ أَوْ صَقْرٌ أَوْ عُقَابٌ فَقَالَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مِنَ الطَّيْرِ تَوَضَّأْ مِمَّا يَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَرَى فِي مِنْقَارِهِ دَماً فَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ فِي مِنْقَارِهِ دَماً فَلاَ تَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ وَلاَ تَشْرَبْ.
5. Ahmad ibn Idris and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Ahmad ibn al-Hassan from ‘Arm ibn Sa‘id from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah from ‘Ammar ibn Musa who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, was asked about the leftover of the water from which pigeons have drunk. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is permissible for you to use the leftover from which edible animals have used. You can use it for Wudu’ or drink the leftover of the water from which they have drunk, like a falcon or a hawk or an eagle.’ He (the Imam) then said, ‘You can use for Wudu’ the water from which birds have drunk, unless you see blood on their beaks. If so then do not use it for Wudu’ or drinking.’”
6ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنْ جَرَّةٍ وُجِدَ فِيهَا خُنْفَسَاءُ قَدْ مَاتَتْ قَالَ أَلْقِهَا وَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَقْرَباً فَأَرِقِ الْمَاءَ وَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ مَاءٍ غَيْرِهِ وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مَعَهُ إِنَاءَانِ فِيهِمَا مَاءٌ وَقَعَ فِي أَحَدِهِمَا قَذَرٌ وَلاَ يَدْرِي أَيُّهُمَا هُوَ لَيْسَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى مَاءٍ غَيْرِهِ قَالَ يُهَرِيقُهُمَا جَمِيعاً وَيَتَيَمَّمُ.
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about a jar in which a beetle is found dead. He (the Imam) said, ‘Throw it away then use the water for Wudu’; but if it is a scorpion, then throw the water away and use some other water for Wudu’.’ I then asked him (the Imam) about a man who has two water containers of which he knows one is unclean but does not know exactly which one and he is not able to find other water. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must throw away the water in both containers and take a Tayammum instead of Wudu’.’”
7ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ نُوحٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ سُؤْرَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لاَ يُؤْكَلُ لَحْمُهُ.
7. Ahmad ibn Idris has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from Ayyub ibn Nuh from al-Washsha’ from those whom he has mentioned who have said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, disliked using the leftover of the water from which inedible animals have drunk.”
