1 - حدثنا الشيخ الفقيه أبو جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى ابن بابويه القمي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أبي إسحاق (1) بن أحمد الليثي، قال حدثنا محمد بن الحسين الرازي، قال: حدثنا أبو الحسين علي بن محمد بن علي المفتي، قال: حدثنا الحسن بن محمد المروزي، عن أبيه، عن يحيى بن عياش، قال: حدثنا علي بن عاصم، قال: حدثنا أبو هارون العبدي، عن أبي سعيد الخدري، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): ألا إن رجب شهر الله الاصم وهو شهر عظيم، وإنما سمي الاصم لانه لا يقاربه (2) شهر من الشهور حرمة وفضلا عند الله تبارك وتعالى، وكان أهل الجاهلية يعظمونه في جاهليتها، فلما جاء الاسلام لم يزدد إلا تعظيما وفضلا. ألا إن رجب وشعبان شهراي، وشهر رمضان شهر أمتي، ألا فمن صام من رجب يوما إيمانا واحتسابا استوجب رضوان الله الاكبر، وأطفأ صومه في ذلك اليوم غضب  الله، وأغلق عنه باب من أبواب النار، ولو أعطى ملء الارض ذهبا ما كان بأفضل من صومه، ولا يستكمل أجره بشئ من الدنيا دون الحسنات، إذا أخلصه لله عز وجل، وله إذا أمسى عشر دعوات مستجابات، إن دعا بشئ في عاجل الدنيا أعطاه الله عز وجل، وإلا ادخر له من الخير أفضل مما دعا به داع من أوليائه وأحبائه وأصفيائه. ومن صام من رجب يومين لم يصف الواصفون من أهل السماء والارض ما له عند الله من الكرامة، وكتب له من الاجر مثل أجور عشرة من الصادقين في عمرهم، بالغة أعمارهم ما بلغت، ويشفع يوم القيامة في مثل ما يشفعون فيه، ويحشر معهم في زمرتهم حتى يدخل الجنة، ويكون من رفقائهم. ومن صام من رجب ثلاثة أيام جعل الله عز وجل بينه وبين النار خندقا أو حجابا طوله مسيرة سبعين عاما، ويقول الله عز وجل له عند إفطاره: لقد وجب حقك علي، ووجبت لك محبتي وولايتي، أشهدكم يا ملائكتي أني قد غفرت له ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر. ومن صام من رجب أربعة أيام عوفي من البلايا كلها، من الجنون والجذام والبرص وفتنة الدجال، وأجير من عذاب القبر، وكتب له مثل اجور أولي الالباب التوابين الاوابين، وأعطي كتابه بيمينه في أوائل العابدين. ومن صام من رجب خمسة أيام كان حقا على الله عز وجل أن يرضيه يوم القيامة، وبعث يوم القيامة ووجهه كالقمر ليلة البدر، وكتب له عدد رمل عالج حسنات، وادخل الجنة بغير حساب، ويقال له: تمن على ربك ما شئت. ومن صام من رجب ستة أيام خرج من قبره ولوجهه نور يتلالا أشد بياضا من نور الشمس، واعطي سوى ذلك نورا يستضئ به أهل الجمع يوم القيامة، وبعث من الآمنين حتى يمر على الصراط بغير حساب، ويعافى من عقوق الوالدين وقطيعة الرحم. ومن صام من رجب سبعة أيام، فإن لجهنم سبعة أبواب، يغلق الله عنه (1) بصوم كل يوم بابا من أبوابها، وقال له: ادخل من أي أبواب الجنان شئت. ومن صام من رجب تسعة أيام خرج من قبره وهو ينادي بلا إله إلا الله، ولا يصرف وجهه دون الجنة، وخرج من قبره ولوجهه نور يتلالا لاهل الجمع حتى يقولوا: هذا نبي مصطفى. وإن أدنى ما يعطى أن يدخل الجنة بغير حساب. ومن صام من رجب عشرة أيام جعل الله عز وجل له جناحين أخضرين منظومين بالدر والياقوت يطير بهما على الصراط كالبرق الخاطف إلى الجنان، ويبدل الله سيئاته حسنات، وكتب من المقربين القوامين لله بالقسط، وكأنه عبد الله عز وجل ألف عام قائما صابرا محتسبا. ومن صام أحد عشر يوما من رجب لم يواف يوم القيامة عبد أفضل ثوابا منه إلا من صام مثله أو زاد عليه. ومن صام من رجب اثني عشر يوما كسي يوم القيامة حلتين خضراوين من سندس وإستبرق، ويحبر (2) بهما، لو دليت حلة منهما إلى الدنيا لاضاء ما بين شرقها وغربها، ولصارت الدنيا أطيب من ريح المسك. ومن صام من رجب ثلاثة عشر يوما وضعت له يوم القيامة مائدة من ياقوت أخضر في ظل العرش، قوائمها من در، أوسع من الدنيا سبعين مرة، عليها صحاف الدر والياقوت، في كل صحفة سبعون ألف لون من الطعام، لا يشبه اللون اللون، ولا الريح الريح، فيأكل منها، والناس في شدة شديدة وكرب عظيم. ومن صام من رجب أربعة عشر يوما أعطاه الله عز وجل من الثواب ما لا عين  رأت ولا أذن سمعت ولا خطر على قلب بشر من قصور الجنان التي بنيت بالدر والياقوت. ومن صام من رجب خمسة عشر يوما وقف يوم القيامة موقف الآمنين، فلا يمر به ملك مقرب ولا نبي مرسل ولا رسول إلا قال: طوباك، أنت آمن مقرب مشرف مغبوط محبور ساكن للجنان. ومن صام من رجب ستة عشر يوما كان في أوائل من يركب على دواب من نور تطير بهم في عرصة الجنان إلى دار الرحمن. ومن صام سبعة عشر يوما من رجب وضع له يوم القيامة على الصراط سبعون ألف مصباح من نور حتى يمر على الصراط بنور تلك المصابيح إلى الجنان، تشيعه الملائكة بالترحيب والتسليم. ومن صام من رجب ثمانية عشر يوما زاحم إبراهيم في قبته في قبة الخلد على سرر الدر والياقوت. ومن صام من رجب تسعة عشر يوما بنى الله له قصرا من لؤلؤ رطب بحذاء قصر آدم وإبراهيم (عليهما السلام) في جنة عدن، فيسلم عليهما ويسلمان عليه، تكرمة له، وإيجابا لحقه، وكتب له بكل يوم يصوم منها كصيام ألف عام: ومن صام من رجب عشرين يوما فكأنما عبد الله عز وجل عشرين ألف عام. ومن صام من رجب أحدا وعشرين يوما شفع يوم القيامة في مثل ربيعة ومضر كلهم من أهل الخطايا والذنوب. ومن صام من رجب اثنين وعشرين يوما نادى مناد من أهل السماء: أبشر - يا ولي الله - من الله بالكرامة العظيمة ومرافقة الذين أنعم الله عليهم من النبيين والصديقين والشهداء والصالحين وحسن أولئك رفيقا. ومن صام من رجب ثلاثة وعشرين يوما نودي من السماء: طوبى لك يا عبد الله، نصبت قليلا ونعمت طويلا، طوبى لك إذا كشف الغطاء عنك، وأفضيت إلى  جسيم ثواب ربك الكريم، وجاورت الجليل (1) في دار السلام. ومن صام من رجب أربعة وعشرين يوما فإذا نزل به ملك الموت تراءى له في صورة شاب عليه حلة ديباج أخضر، على فرس من أفراس الجنان، وبيده حرير أخضر ممسك بالمسك الاذفر، وبيده قدح من ذهب مملوءة من شراب الجنان، فسقاه إياه عند خروج نفسه، يهون به عليه سكرات الموت، ثم يأخذ روحه في تلك الحريرة، فتفوح منها رائحة يستنشقها أهل سبع سماوات، فيظل في قبره ريان ويبعث من قبره ريان حتى يرد حوض النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله). ومن صام من رجب خمسة وعشرين يوما فنه إذا خرج من قبره تلقاه سبعون ألف ملك، بيد كل ملك منهم لواء من در وياقوت، ومعهم طرائف الحلي والحلل، فيقولون: يا ولي الله، النجاة إلى ربك، فهو من أول الناس دخولا في جنات عدن مع المقربين الذين رضي الله عنهم ورضوا عنه ذلك الفوز العظيم. ومن صام من رجب ستة وعشرين يوما بنى الله له في ظل العرش مائة قصر من در وياقوت على رأس كل قصر خيمة حمراء من حرير الجنان يسكنها ناعما والناس في الحساب. ومن صام من رجب سبعة وعشرين يوما أوسع الله عليه القبر مسيرة أربعمائة عام، وملا جميع ذلك مسكا وعنبرا. ومن صام من رجب ثمانية وعشرين يوما جعل الله عز وجل بينه وبين النار سبعة خنادق، كل خندق ما بين السماء والارض مسيرة خمسمائة عام. ومن صام من رجب تسعة وعشرين يوما غفر الله عز وجل له، ولو كان عشارا، ولو كانت امرأة فجرت سبعين مرة (2)، بعد ما أرادت به وجه الله والخلاص من جهنم، لغفر الله لها.  ومن صام من رجب ثلاثين يوما نادى مناد من السماء: يا عبد الله، أما ما مضى فقد غفر لك فاستأنف العمل فيما بقي، وأعطاه الله عز وجل في الجنان كلها في كل جنة أربعين ألف مدينة من ذهب، في كل مدينة أربعون ألف ألف قصر، في كل قصر أربعون ألف ألف بيت، في كل بيت أربعون ألف ألف مائدة من ذهب، على كل مائدة أربعون ألف ألف قصعة، في كل قصعة أربعون ألف ألف لون من الطعام والشراب، لكل طعام وشراب من ذلك لون على حدة، وفي كل بيت أربعون ألف ألف سرير من ذهب، طول كل سرير ألفا ذراع في ألفي ذراع، على كل سرير جارية من الحور، عليها ثلاثمائة ألف ذؤابة من نور، تحمل كل ذؤابة منها ألف ألف وصيفة، تغلفها بالمسك والعنبر إلى أن يوافيها صائم رجب، هذا لمن صام شهر رجب كله. قيل: يا نبي الله، فمن عجز عن صيام رجب لضعف أو لعلة كانت به، أو امرأة غير طاهر، يصنع ماذا لينال ما وصفته؟ قال: يتصدق كل يوم برغيف على المساكين، والذي نفسي بيده إنه إذا تصدق بهذه الصدقة كل يوم نال ما وصفت وأكثر، إنه لو اجتمع جميع الخلائق كلهم من أهل السماوات والارض على أن يقدروا قدر ثوابه ما بلغوا عشر ما يصيب في الجنان من الفضائل والدرجات. قيل: يا رسول الله، فمن لم يقدر على هذه الصدقة، يصنع ماذا لينال ما وصفت؟ قال: يسبح الله عز وجل كل يوم من رجب إلى تمام ثلاثين يوما بهذا التسبيح مائة مرة: سبحان الاله الجليل، سبحان من لا ينبغي التسبيح إلا له، سبحان الاعز الاكرم، سبحان من لبس العز وهو له أهل (1).

1- The learned Sheikh Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Musa ibn Babawayh al-Qummi (ra) narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Abi Ishaq ibn Ahmad al-Laythi informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Razi informed us, saying: Abu al-Husayn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ali al-Mufti narrated to us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Maruzy narrated to us, from his father, from Yahya ibn Ayyash, who said: Ali ibn 'Asim narrated to us, saying: Abu Harun al-'Abdi narrated to us, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (sw) said: "Indeed, Rajab is the month of Allah, al-Asam, and it is a great month. It is named 'Al-Asam' because no other month can be compared to its sanctity and excellence in the sight of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. The people of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance) used to venerate it in their ignorance, and when Islam came, its sanctity and excellence only increased. Indeed, Rajab and Sha'ban are my months, and the month of Ramadan is the month of my Ummah. So, whoever fasts one day in Rajab with faith and seeking reward will attain the greatest pleasure of Allah. His fast on that day extinguishes the anger of Allah, closes one of the gates of the Hellfire for him, and even if he were to give the entire earth's fill of gold in charity, it would not be equivalent to his fasting. His reward cannot be completed with anything from the worldly possessions unless he dedicates it sincerely to Allah Almighty. For him, there are ten supplications that are answered every evening, and if he prays for something in this world, Allah will grant it to him. Otherwise, He will reserve for him something better among the rewards from His saints, beloved ones, and pure ones. Whoever fasts for two days in Rajab, the observers of the heavens and the earth cannot describe the honor he has with Allah. He will be written among the honored ones like ten of the truthful ones in their lifetimes, with their ages reaching what theirs did. On the Day of Judgment, he will be interceded just as they will, and he will be gathered with them in their group until he enters Paradise and becomes one of their companions. Whoever fasts for three days in Rajab will have a trench or a barrier between him and the Hellfire, the length of which is a journey of seventy years. Allah Almighty will say to him at the time of breaking his fast: 'Indeed, your right upon Me has been fulfilled, and My love and guardianship are due to you. O My angels, bear witness that I have forgiven him for what has passed and what is to come.' Whoever fasts for four days in Rajab will be protected from all calamities, including madness, leprosy, and the trial of the Dajjal. He will be saved from the torment of the grave, and he will be given a reward similar to the rewards of the repentant among the knowledgeable ones, and his record will be given to him with his right hand among the first of the worshippers. Whoever fasts for five days in Rajab, it is the right of Allah Almighty to be pleased with him on the Day of Judgment, and He will raise him on the Day of Judgment with a face like the moon on the night of the full moon. It will be written for him a number of good deeds as vast as the sands and pebbles, and he will enter Paradise without any accountability. It will be said to him, 'Ask your Lord for whatever you wish.' Whoever fasts for six days in Rajab will emerge from his grave, and his face will shine with a light whiter than the light of the sun. Besides that, he will be given a light with which the people of the gathering will be illuminated on the Day of Judgment. He will pass over the Bridge (Sirat) without any reckoning and will be saved from the disobedience of parents and the severing of family ties. Whoever fasts for seven days in Rajab, Hellfire will have seven gates, and Allah will close one of its gates for him each day of fasting, and He will say to him, 'Enter from any of the gates of Paradise as you wish.' Whoever fasts for nine days in Rajab will come out of his grave calling, 'There is no god but Allah.' His face will not turn away from Paradise, and he will emerge from his grave with a light that will illuminate for the people of the gathering until they say, 'This is a chosen prophet!' Even the least he will be given is to enter Paradise without any reckoning. Whoever fasts ten days of Rajab, Allah Almighty will grant him two green wings, adorned with pearls and rubies, with which he will fly over the Bridge (Siraat) like a swift lightning, heading towards the Gardens. Allah will exchange his sins for good deeds and inscribe him among the close and upright servants of Allah, as if he had been standing patiently, worshiping Allah for a thousand years. Whoever fasts eleven days of Rajab, there is no servant who will receive on the Day of Judgment a reward unmatched more than him, except by one who fasts the same or more. Whoever fasts twelve days of Rajab, on the Day of Judgment, he will be clothed in two green garments made of silk and brocade, and he will be crowned with them. If one of those crowns were to be brought down to the earth, it would illuminate the space between the East and West, and the world would become more fragrant than musk. Whoever fasts thirteen days of Rajab, for him on the Day of Judgment, a table will be set under the Throne, its legs made of pearls, broader than the world seventy times. On it, there are plates of pearls and rubies, with each plate having seventy thousand different colors of food, unlike any other color or fragrance. People will eat from it in extreme joy and great delight, while (other) people are in intense hardship and sorrow. Whoever fasts fourteen days of Rajab, Allah Almighty will grant him a reward beyond what eyes have seen, ears have heard, or hearts have imagined, from the palaces of the Gardens built with pearls and rubies. Whoever fasts fifteen days of Rajab will stand on the Day of Judgment in a position of safety, and no close angel or sent prophet or messenger will pass by him except that they will say: 'Congratulations! You are a secure, honored, and blessed close servant destined for the Gardens.' Whoever fasts sixteen days of Rajab will be among the first to ride luminous creatures, flying with them in the avenues of the Gardens towards the abode of the Merciful. Whoever fasts seventeen days of Rajab, on the Day of Judgment, seventy thousand lamps of light will be placed for him on the Bridge (Siraat) until he passes over it with the light of those lamps to the Gardens, escorted by angels welcoming and delivering him. Whoever fasts eighteen days of Rajab will join Ibrahim in his dome, in the dome of eternity, on thrones of pearls and rubies. Whoever fasts nineteen days of Rajab, Allah will build for him a palace of moist pearls, the size of which is the distance between the footprints of Adam and Ibrahim (AS), in the Garden of Eden. They will greet him and he will greet them, as an honor and acknowledgment of his right, and it will be written for him for every day of fasting as if he had fasted for a thousand years. Whoever fasts twenty days of Rajab is as if he has worshiped Allah Almighty for twenty thousand years. Whoever fasts twenty-one days of Rajab will be interceded on the Day of Judgment as people like Rabi'a and Muthir, all of them from the people of sins and transgressions. And whoever fasts for twenty-two days in Rajab, a caller from the inhabitants of the heavens proclaims: 'Rejoice, O servant of Allah, for Allah promises you great honor and companionship with those whom Allah has blessed among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. They are indeed excellent companions.' And whoever fasts for twenty-three days in Rajab, a voice from the heavens declares: 'Congratulations to you, O servant of Allah! You endured a little and were granted immense blessings. Congratulations to you when the veil is lifted from you, and you enter into the vast expanse of the generous rewards of your Lord. You will dwell in the vicinity of the Most High in the abode of peace.' Whoever fasts from the month of Rajab for twenty-four days, when the Angel of Death descends upon them, they will see him in the form of a young man adorned in a green robe, riding a horse from the horses of paradise. In his hand, he holds green silk containing the fragrance of the finest musk, and in his other hand, a golden cup filled with the drink of paradise. He will give them this drink at the moment of their departure, making the pangs of death easy for them. Then, their soul will be taken gently, emitting a fragrance that the inhabitants of the seven heavens will inhale. They will remain in their grave in comfort and will be resurrected from their grave in comfort until they reach the Prophet's (sw) Basin. Whoever fasts for twenty-five days in Rajab, upon exiting their grave, seventy thousand angels will meet them, each holding a banner made of pearls and rubies, accompanied by exquisite jewelry and ornaments. They will say, 'O servant of Allah, salvation is to your Lord.' Such a person will be among the first to enter the gardens of Eden with those whom Allah is pleased with, and who are pleased with Him, achieving great success. If someone fasts for twenty-six days in Rajab, Allah will build for them in the shade of the Throne a hundred palaces made of pearls and rubies. At the top of each palace, there will be a red silk tent from the silk of paradise, where they will reside in comfort, while the (other) people are still facing the reckoning. Whoever fasts for twenty-seven days in Rajab, Allah will widen their grave to a distance of four hundred years' travel, and it will be filled with musk and amber. If someone fasts for twenty-eight days in Rajab, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will create seven trenches between them and the Fire, each trench spanning a distance of five hundred years between heaven and earth. If someone fasts for twenty-nine days in Rajab, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will forgive them, even if their sins were as numerous as the particles of dust, and even if they were a woman who acted immorally seventy times, seeking the His reward and salvation from Hell, Allah would forgive her. If someone fasts for thirty days in Rajab, a caller from the heavens will proclaim, 'O servant of Allah, as for what has passed, it has been forgiven for you. Resume your deeds for what remains.' Allah will grant them all that is in paradise, forty-thousand cities made of gold, and in every city, there will be forty-thousand thousand palaces. In each palace, there will be forty-thousand thousand houses, in each house forty-thousand thousand tables made of gold, and on each table, there will be forty-thousand thousand plates. Each plate will have forty-thousand thousand different types of food and drink, each with its own distinct color. In every house, there will be forty-thousand thousand beds made of gold, each bed measuring a thousand arms in length and a thousand arms in width. On each bed, there will be a maiden from the Hoor, accompanied by three hundred thousand attendants of light, surrounding her with musk and amber until a person who fasted in the month of Rajab arrives. This is for the one who fasts the entire month of Rajab. It was asked: 'O Prophet of Allah, what about those who are unable to fast the entire month of Rajab due to weakness or illness, or women who are not pure? What should they do to attain what you have described?' He replied: 'Let them give charity every day, providing a loaf of bread to the poor. By the One who holds my life in His hand, if they give this charity every day, they will attain what has been described and even more. Even if all creatures from the heavens and the earth were gathered to estimate the reward, they would not reach a tenth of the virtues and ranks found in paradise.' It was asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, what about those who cannot afford such charity? What should they do to attain what you have described?' He replied: 'Let them glorify Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, one hundred times each day from the beginning of Rajab until the thirtieth day, saying, "Glory be to the Almighty God, glory be to the One who deserves no glorification except for Him, glory be to the Most Powerful, Most Generous, glory be to the One adorned with majesty while having the utmost authority."'

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid (ra) narrated to s. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us. He said: Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us from al-Husayn b. Yazid al-Nawfali from Isma`il b. Muslim al-Sukuni from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers from `Ali (as). He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: The pressure of the grave for the believer is an expiation for any wasted blessings of his.

3 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن الهيثم بن أبي مسروق النهدي، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن عبد الله بن غالب، عن سعد الاسكاف، عن أبي جعفر الباقر (عليه السلام)، قال: أيما مؤمن غسل مؤمنا فقال إذا قلبه: اللهم هذا بدن عبدك المؤمن، وقد أخرجت روحه منه، وفرقت بينهما، فعفوك عفوك، غفر الله له ذنوب سنة إلا الكبائر (2).

My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from al-Haytham b. Abi Masruq al-Nahdi from al-Hasan b. Mahbub from `Abdullah b. Ghalib from Sa`d al-Iskaf from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir (as). He said: When a believer bathes [the funeral bath of] a believer and says when he turns him over: “O Allah! This is the body of Your believing servant. You have removed his spirit from it and have separated them. So, Your forgiveness, Your forgiveness (Allahumma hadha badanu `abdikal mu’min wa qad akhrajta ruhahu minhu wa farraqta baynahuma, fa `afwaka `afwak)”, Allah forgives him of a year of his sins, except the major sins.

4 - حدثنا أحمد بن زياد بن جعفر الهمداني (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن إسماعيل بن مرار، عن يونس بن عبد الرحمن، عن عبد الله بن سنان، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام)، قال: من غسل ميتا مؤمنا فأدى فيه الامانة غفر له. قيل: وكيف يؤدي فيه الامانة؟ قال: لا يخبر بما يرى (3).

Ahmad b. Ziyad b. Ja`far al-Hamadani (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim from Isma`il b. Marrar from Yunus b. `Abd al-Rahman from `Abdullah b. Sinan from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as). He said: Whoever washes a dead believer and fulfills his trust, he is forgiven. It was said: How does he fulfill his trust? He said: He does not inform others about what he saw.

5 - حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى العطار، عن محمد بن أحمد بن يحيى بن عمران الاشعري، عن الحسن بن موسى الخشاب، عن غياث بن كلوب، عن إسحاق بن عمار، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، أن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) قال: لقنوا موتاكم لا إله إلا الله، فإن من كان آخر كلامه لا إله إلا الله دخل الجنة (4).

Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh (rh) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us from Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Yahya b. `Imran al-Ash`ari from al-Hasan b. Musa al-Khashab from Ghiyath b. Kulub from Ishaq b. `Ammar from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers (as). The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Instruct your dying [to say and believe] “there is no god but Allah (la ilaha illallah)”, for he whose last words are “there is no god but Allah” will enter Paradise.

6 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر الحميري، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن علي بن سيف، عن أخيه الحسين، عن أبيه سيف بن عميرة، عن عمرو بن شمر، عن جابر بن يزيد الجعفي، عن أبي جعفر محمد بن علي الباقر (عليه السلام)، قال: من قدم أولادا يحتسبهم عند الله،  حجبوه من النار بإذن الله عز وجل (1).

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Himyari narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa from `Ali b. Sayf from his brother al-Husayn from his father Sayf b. `Amira from `Amr b. Shimr from Jabir b. Yazid al-Ju`fi from Abi Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali al-Baqir (as). He said: Whoever loses children after teaching them about Allah, they will shield him from the Fire by the permission of Allah.

7 - حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن يحيى العطار (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن يعقوب بن يزيد، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن سيف بن عميرة، عن أشعث بن سوار، عن الاحنف بن قيس، عن أبي ذر الغفاري (رحمه الله عليه)، قال: كنا ذات يوم عند رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) في مسجد قبا ونحن نفر من أصحابه إذ قال: معاشر أصحابي، يدخل عليكم من هذا الباب رجل هو أمير المؤمنين وإمام المسلمين. قال: فنظروا وكنت فيمن نظر، فإذا نحن بعلي بن أبي طالب (عليه السلام) قد طلع، فقام النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) فاستقبله وعانقه وقبل ما بين عينيه، وجاء به حتى أجلسه إلى جانبه، ثم أقبل علينا بوجهه الكريم، فقال: هذا إمامكم من بعدي، طاعته طاعتي، ومعصيته معصيتي، وطاعتي طاعة الله، ومعصيتي معصية الله عز وجل (2).

قال كنا ذات يوم عند

في مسجد قبا و نحن نفر من أصحابه إذ قال

Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar (rh) narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from Ya`qub b. Yazid from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Sayf b. `Amira from Ash`ath b. Siwear from al-Ahnaf b. Qays from Abi Dharr al-Ghifari (rh). He said: One day, we were with the Messenger of Allah (s) in the Quba Mosque. We were with a group of his companions when he said: O my companions! A man who is the Commander of the Faithful and the Imam of the Muslims will come to you through this door. He said: So, they looked, and I looked too. Then, we saw `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) come through the door. So, the Prophet (s) stood, embraced him, and kissed his forehead. He came with him until he sat him to his side. Then, he turned to us with his blessed face and said: This is your Imam after me. Obedience to him is obedience to me, and disobedience to him is disobedience to me; and obedience to me is obedience to Allah, and disobedience to me is disobedience to Allah.
