Al-Amālī

1 - حدثنا الشيخ الفقيه أبو جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى بن بابويه القمي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أبي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن الحسن المؤدب، عن أحمد بن علي الاصبهاني، عن إبراهيم بن محمد الثقفي، قال: حدثنا مخول بن إبراهيم، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن الاسود اليشكري، عن محمد بن عبيد الله، عن سلمان الفارسي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: سألت رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من وصيك من امتك، فإنه لم يبعث نبي إلا كان له وصي من أمته؟ فقال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): لم يبين لي بعد. فمكثت ما شاء الله أن أمكث، ثم دخلت المسجد، فناداني رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) فقال: يا سلمان، سألتني عن وصيي من امتي، فهل تدري من كان وصي موسى من أمته؟ فقلت: كان وصيه يوشع بن نون فتاه. قال: فهل تدري لم كان أوصى إليه؟ فقلت: الله ورسوله أعلم. قال: أوصى إليه لانه كان أعلم أمته بعده، ووصيي أعلم أمتي من بعدي علي بن أبي طالب (1)

Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh al-Qummi (rh) narrated to us. He said: My father (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. al-Hasan al-Mu’addab narrated to us from Ahmad b. `Ali al-Isfahani from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: Makhul b. Ibrahim narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-Rahman b. al-Aswad al-Yashkiri narrated to us from Muhammad b. `Ubadullah from Salman al-Farisi (ra). He said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (s): Who is your deputy from your Nation, for no prophet is raised except that he has a deputy from his Nation? So, the Messenger of Allah (s) said: It has yet to be revealed to me. So, I remained for as long as Allah willed for me to remain; then I entered the mosque, and the Messenger of Allah (s) called me and said: O Salman! You asked me about the deputy of my Nation – do you know who the deputy of Musa from his Nation was? So, I said: His deputy was a young man, Yusha` b. Nun. He said: Do you know why he was appointed? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: He deputed him because he was the most knowledge person in his Nation after him. My deputy is the most knowledgeable person from my Nation after me – `Ali b. Abi Talib.

حدثنا أحمد بن زياد، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، قال: حدثنا جعفر بن سلمة الاهوازي، عن إبراهيم بن محمد الثقفي، قال: حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة، ومحرز بن هشام، قالا: حدثنا مطلب بن زياد، عن ليث بن أبي سليم، قال: أتى النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) علي وفاطمة والحسن والحسين (عليهم السلام) كلهم يقول: أنا أحب إلى رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله). فأخذ (صلى الله عليه وآله) فاطمة مما يلي بطنه، وعليا مما يلي ظهره، والحسن عن يمينه، والحسين عن يساره، ثم قال (صلى الله عليه وآله): أنتم مني وأنا منكم (1).

Ahmad b. Ziyad narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us. He said: Ja`far b. Salama al-Ahwazi narrated to us. He said: Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi narrated to us. He said: `Uthman b. Abi Shayba narrated to us with Mahraz b. Hisham. They said: Mutalib b. Ziyad narrated to us from Layth b. Abi Sulaym. He said: The Prophet (s) met `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn (as), and all of them were saying, “I am the most beloved to the Messenger of Allah (s).” So, he (s) took Fatima to his stomach, `Ali to his back, al-Hasan to his right, and al-Husayn to his left. Then, he (s) said: You are from me, and I am from you.

- حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى العطار، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أحمد بن يحيى بن عمران الاشعري، عن أحمد ابن هلال، عن عيسى بن عبد الله، عن أبيه، عن جده، عن آبائه، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من قرأ (قل هو الله أحد) (2) حين يأخذ مضجعه، غفر الله عز وجل له ذنوب خمسين سنة (3).

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil (rh) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Yahya b. `Imran al-Ash`ari narrated to us from Ahmad b. Hilal from `Isa b. `Abdullah from his father from his grandfather from his forefathers. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever recites qul huwallahu ahad when he goes to bed, Allah will forgive fifty years of his sins.

4 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن الحسن بن أبان، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن القاسم بن محمد، عن إسحاق ابن هارون، عن هارون بن حمزة الغنوي (4)، قال: سمعت الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليه السلام) يقول: وكل الله تبارك وتعالى بقبر الحسين (عليه السلام) أربعة آلاف ملك، شعثا غبرا، يبكونه إلى يوم القيامة، فمن زاره عارفا بحقه شيعوه حتى يبلغوه مأمنه، وإن مرض عادوه غدوة وعشيا، وإن مات شهدوا جنازته واستغفروا له إلى يوم القيامة (1).

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid (rh) narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. al-Hasan b. Aban narrated to us from al-Husayn b. Sa`id from al-qasim b. Muhammad from Ishaq b. Harun from Harun b. Hamza al-Ghanwi. He said: I heard al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) say: Allah designated four thousand angels to weep at the grave of al-Husayn (as) until the Day of Resurrection – they are disheveled and dusty. Whoever visits him, recognizing his right, they (the angels) will be party to him until he reaches his home; if he becomes ill, they will visit him morning and evening; and if he dies, they will attend his funeral and seek forgiveness for him until the Day of Resurrection.

5 - حدثنا علي بن أحمد بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن جده أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن حمزة بن عبد الله الجعفري، عن جميل بن دراج، عن أبي حمزة الثمالي، قال: قال الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام) ارج الله رجاء لا يجرئك على معاصيه، وخف الله خوفا لا يؤيسك من رحمته (2)

`Ali b. Ahmad b. `Abdullah b. Ahmad b. Abi `Abdullah al-Barqi narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from his grandfather Ahmad b. Abi `Abdullah from Hamza b. `Abdullah al-Ja`fari from Jamil b. Darraj from Abi Hamza al-Thumali. He said: al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) said: Hope to Allah that He does not entice you to sin and be fearful to Allah that He does not deprive you of His mercy.

6 - حدثنا محمد بن علي (رحمه الله) عن محمد بن أبي القاسم، عن محمد بن علي الكوفي، عن عامر بن كثير السراج النهدي، عن أبي الجارود، عن ثابت بن أبي صفية، عن سيد العابدين علي بن الحسين، عن سيد الشهداء الحسين بن علي، عن سيد الوصيين أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب (عليهم السلام)، عن سيد النبيين محمد بن عبد الله خاتم النبيين (صلى الله عليه وآله) أنه قال: إن الله تبارك وتعالى فرض عليكم طاعتي، ونهاكم عن معصيتي، وأوجب عليكم اتباع أمري، وفرض عليكم من طاعة علي بعدي ما فرضه من طاعتي، ونهاكم من معصيته عما نهاكم عنه من معصيتي، وجعله أخي ووزيري ووصيي ووارثي، وهو مني وأنا منه، حبه إيمان وبغضه كفر، ومحبه محبي، ومبغضه مبغضي، وهو مولى من أنا مولاه، وأنا مولى كل مسلم ومسلمة، وأنا وإياه أبوا هذه الامة (3).

Muhammad b. `Ali (rh) narrated to us from Muhammad b. Abi al-Qasim from Muhammad b. `Ali al-Kufi from `Amer b. Kathir al-Sarraj al-Nahdi from Abi al-Jarud from Thabit b. Abi Safiyya from Sayyid al-`Abidin `Ali b. al-Husayn from the Master of Martyrs al-Husayn b. `Ali from the Master of Deputies, the Commander of the Faithful, `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) from the Master of Prophets Muhammad b. `Abdullah, the Seal of Prophets (s). He said: Surely, Allah has obligated you to obey me, He has prohibited you from disobeying me, and He made it mandatory for you to follow my orders. He has obliged you to obey `Ali after me in the same way that He obliged you to obey me, and He has prohibited you from disobeying him in the same way that He prohibited you from disobeying me. He made him my brother, my vizier, my deputy, and my inheritor. He is from me, and I am from him. Loving him is faith and hating him is disbelief. Loving him is loving me and hating him is hating me. He is the master of anyone that I am a master of, and I am the master of every Muslim man and woman. Him and I are the two fathers of this Nation.

حدثنا محمد بن أحمد السناني المكتب (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد ابن أبي عبد الله الكوفي، قال: حدثنا موسى بن عمران النخعي، عن عمه الحسين بن يزيد، عن علي بن سالم، عن أبيه، قال: دخلت على الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام) في رجب وقد بقيت منه أيام، فلما نظر إلي قال لي: يا سالم، هل صمت في هذا الشهر شيئا؟ قلت: لا والله يا بن رسول الله. فقال لي: لقد فاتك من الثواب ما لم يعلم مبلغه إلا الله عز وجل، إن هذا شهر قد فضله الله وعظم حرمته، وأوجب للصائمين فيه كرامته. قال: فقلت له: يا بن رسول الله، فإن صمت مما بقي شيئا، هل أنال فوزا ببعض ثواب الصائمين فيه؟ فقال: يا سالم، من صام يوما من آخر هذا الشهر، كان ذلك أمانا له من شدة سكرات الموت، وأمانا له من هول المطلع وعذاب القبر، ومن صام يومين من آخر هذا الشهر، كان له بذلك جواز على الصراط، ومن صام ثلاثة أيام من آخر هذا الشهر، أمن يوم الفزع الاكبر من أهواله وشدائده، وأعطي براءة من النار (1).

Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Sinani al-Mukattib (rh) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdullah al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Musa b. `Imran al-Nakha`i narrated to us from his uncle al-Husayn b. Yazid from `Ali b. Salim from his father. He said: I visited al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) in Rajab, when it [still] had [a few] days left. When he looked at me, he said to me: O Salim! Have you fasted at all this month? I said: No, by Allah, O son of the Messenger of Allah. So, he said to me: You have missed out on a reward, that value of which is only known to Allah. Surely, Allah gave this month virtue, and He magnified its sanctity. He made His blessing incumbent upon those who fast in it. He said: So, I said to him: O son of the Messenger of Allah! If I fast something of what is left of it, will I receive some of the reward of those who have fasted therein? So, he said: O Salim! Whoever fasts one day at the end of this month, it will be a source of safety for him at the pangs of death; and a source of safety for him at the horror of the resurrection and the punishment of the grave. Whoever fasts two days at the end of this month, he will be able to pass safely therewith upon the Path. Whoever fasts three days at the end of this month, it will be a source of safety from the horror and the severity of Great Day of Dismay; and it will separate him from the Fire.

8 - حدثنا أحمد بن الحسن القطان، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن محمد الحسني، قال: أخبرنا أحمد بن عيسى بن أبي موسى العجلي (2)، قال: حدثنا محمد ابن أحمد بن عبد الله بن زياد العرزمي، قال: حدثنا علي بن حاتم المنقري، قال: حدثنا شريك، عن سالم الافطس، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) لعلي (عليه السلام): يا علي، شيعتك هم الفائزون يوم القيامة، فمن أهان واحدا منهم فقد أهانك، ومن أهانك فقد أهانني، ومن أهانني أدخله الله نار جهنم خالدا فيها وبئس المصير. يا علي، أنت مني وأنا منك، روحك من روحي، وطينتك من طينتي، وشيعتك خلقوا من فضل طينتنا، فمن أحبهم فقد أحبنا، ومن أبغضهم فقد أبغضنا، ومن عاداهم فقد عادانا، ومن ودهم فقد ودنا. يا علي، إن شيعتك مغفور لهم على ما كان فيهم من ذنوب وعيوب. يا علي، أنا الشفيع لشيعتك غدا إذا قمت المقام المحمود، فبشرهم بذلك. يا علي، شيعتك شيعة الله، وأنصارك أنصار الله، وأولياؤك أولياء الله وحزبك حزب الله. يا علي، سعد من تولاك، وشقي من عاداك، يا علي لك كنز في الجنة، وأنت ذو قرنيها (1).

Ahmad b. al-Hasan al-Qattan narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-Rahman b. Muhammad al-Hasani narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. `Isa b. Abi Musa al-`Ijli narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Ahmad b. `Abdullah b. Ziyad al-`Arzami narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Hatim al-Manqari narrated to us. He said: Sharik narrated to us from Salim al-Aftas from Sa`id b. Jubayr from Ibn `Abbas. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said to `Ali (as): O `Ali! Your Shi`a will be the winners on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever insults one of them has insulted you, and whoever insults you has insulted me, and whoever insults me will be sent by Allah to the Fire of Hell forever in the misery of fate. O `Ali! You are from me, and I am from you. Your spirit is from my spirit and your clay is from my clay. Your Shi`a were created from the surplus of our clay. So, whoever loves them has loved us, and whoever hates them has hated us, and whoever opposes them has opposed us, and whoever adores them has adored us. O `Ali! Surely, your Shi`a will be forgiven of their sins and their flaws. O `Ali! I will be the intercessor of your Shi`a once I attain the Praised Position, so give them glad tidings of that. O `Ali! Your Shi`a are the Shi`a of Allah, and your supporters are the supporters of Allah, and your friends are the friends of Allah, and your party is the party of Allah. O `Ali! Whoever aligns with you will be happy, and whoever opposes you will be sorrowful. O `Ali! For you is a treasure in Paradise, and you are its Dhul Qarnayn.
