`Ali b. Ahmad b. `Abdullah b. Ahmad b. Abi `Abdullah al-Barqi narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from his grandfather Ahmad b. Abi `Abdullah from Hamza b. `Abdullah al-Ja`fari from Jamil b. Darraj from Abi Hamza al-Thumali. He said: al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad said:

Hope to Allah that He does not entice you to sin and be fearful to Allah that He does not deprive you of His mercy.
