فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَاحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ

and they said, ‘Are we to follow a lone human from ourselves?! Indeed then we would be in error and madness.’
