al-Shūrā (Consultation)
ٱلشُّورىٰ
42:8
وَلَوْ
شَاءَ
اللَّهُ
لَجَعَلَهُمْ
أُمَّةً
وَاحِدَةً
وَلَكِن
يُدْخِلُ
مَن
يَشَاءُ
فِي
رَحْمَتِهِ
وَالظَّالِمُونَ
مَا
لَهُم
مِّن
وَلِيٍّ
وَلَا
نَصِيرٍ
wa-law shāʾa llāhu la-jaʿalahum ʾummatan wāḥidatan wa-lākin yudkhilu man yashāʾu fī raḥmatihī wa-ẓ-ẓālimūna mā lahum min waliyyin wa-lā naṣīrin
Had God wanted, He could have made them all one single nation, but He grants mercy to whomever He wills. The unjust will have no guardian or helper.
