al-Shūrā (Consultation)
ٱلشُّورىٰ
42:7
وَكَذَلِكَ
أَوْحَيْنَا
إِلَيْكَ
قُرْآنًا
عَرَبِيًّا
لِّتُنذِرَ
أُمَّ
الْقُرَى
وَمَنْ
حَوْلَهَا
وَتُنذِرَ
يَوْمَ
الْجَمْعِ
لَا
رَيْبَ
فِيهِ
فَرِيقٌ
فِي
الْجَنَّةِ
وَفَرِيقٌ
فِي
السَّعِيرِ
wa-ka-dhālika ʾawḥaynā ʾilayka qurʾānan ʿarabiyyan li-tundhira ʾumma l-qurā wa-man ḥawlahā wa-tundhira yawma l-jamʿi lā rayba fīhi farīqun fī l-jannati wa-farīqun fī s-saʿīri
We have revealed the Quran to you in the Arabic language so that you could warn the people of the Mother Town (Mecca) and those around it of the inevitable Day of Resurrection when some will go to Paradise and others to hell.
