the Fire, to which they are exposed morning and evening. On the day when the Hour sets in, Pharaoh’s clan will enter the severest punishment.
Agha Ali Puya Commentary
Commentary on Quran 40:46
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 40:46] The calamities Firawn and his people suffered in this world (Araf: 130 to 136) were nothing compared to the penalties they will suffer in the next world, mentioned in these verses. Aqa Mahdi Puya says: Verse 46 refers to the agony and torment they will suffer morning and evening after death till the day of resurrection. This is an intermediary stage where the enemies of Allah, like prisoners, according to Imam Jafar bin Muhammad as Sadiq, will wait in a state of continuous torment, morning and evening, for the real punishment they will undergo after the day of reckoning.
