al-Qaṣaṣ (The Story)
ٱلْقَصَص
28:39
وَاسْتَكْبَرَ
هُوَ
وَجُنُودُهُ
فِي
الْأَرْضِ
بِغَيْرِ
الْحَقِّ
وَظَنُّوا
أَنَّهُمْ
إِلَيْنَا
لَا
يُرْجَعُونَ
wa-stakbara huwa wa-junūduhū fī l-ʾarḍi bi-ghayri l-ḥaqqi wa-ẓannū ʾannahum ʾilaynā lā yurjaʿūna
The Pharaoh and his army were puffed-up with pride in the land for no true cause. They thought that they would never return to Us.
