[Pooya/Ali Commentary 26:200] The obstinate infidelity of the disbelievers does not allow them to believe in the truth, but when the grievous punishment will come to them of a sudden they will in vain ask for a respite. No respite wil1 be given. It will be of no use because they would do the same as they did before. They used to ask the Holy Prophet to hasten on the punishment. See commentary of Hajj: 47.
