There is again a promise to Imam Hussain for Divine Help for his patience. Remember the Prophet’s saying, “Hussain is from me and I am from him.” When he, under tyranny of infidel Quraish had to fly to Medina from Mecca. God gave him a chance of revenging in Badr in latter successors of the infidel Quraish in person of the cursed Yazid when he slew Imam Hussain i.e. again tyrannized the Prophet. So God’s promise, He will enliven the Prophet and his immaculate family – the tyrannized, on one side, and their enemies beginning with the first Khalifa down to Yazid – on the other side. To give necessary help to revenge themselves on these deadly enemies, with respective allies on either side, just as night follows day and vice versa. It is entirely in the hand of God to give succour to His obedient creatures against disobedient ones, who have in opposition of God, accepted his enemies as their leaders and who will not render any help on resurrection.

شان نزول

شان نزول بعض روایات کے مطابق محرم کا دن ختم ہورہا تھا اور صرف ایک دوراتیں باقی تھیں مشرکین نے باہم صلاح مشورہ کیا۔ کہ محمدؐ کے اصحاب اور ساتھی اس مہینے میں جنگ نہیں کرتے۔ کیونکہ وہ اسے حرام سمجھتے ہیں ۔ لہذا آؤ ان بر حملہ کرکے انھیں ختم کردیں ۔ چنانچہ انھوں نے حملہ کردیا۔ مسلمانوں نے پہلے اپیل کی کہ اس مقدس مہینے میں جنگ نہ کی جائے ۔مگر جب کفارکے کانوں پر جوں تک نہ رینگی تو مسلمانوں نے ڈٹ کر دفاع کیا اور اللہ نے ان کو فتح دی ۔ اس کے بعد زیر بحث پہلی آیت نازل ہوئی۔ ؎1 ۔------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ؎1 مجمع البیان ، اور درمنشور زیربحث آیت کی تفسیر کے ذیل میں۔

سوره حج / آیه 60 - 62

(60) ذٰلِكَۚ وَمَنْ عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوْقِبَ بِهٖ ثُـمَّ بُغِىَ عَلَيْهِ لَيَنْصُرَنَّهُ اللّـٰهُ ۗ اِنَّ اللّـٰهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُوْرٌ (61) ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّـٰهَ يُوْلِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِى النَّـهَارِ وَيُوْلِجُ النَّـهَارَ فِى اللَّيْلِ وَاَنَّ اللّـٰهَ سَـمِيْـعٌ بَصِيْـرٌ (62) ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّـٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَاَنَّ مَا يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖ هُوَ الْبَاطِلُ وَاَنَّ اللّـٰهَ هُوَ الْعَلِـىُّ الْكَبِيْـرُ ترجمہ (60) بات یہی ہے اور جو شخص اپنے اوپر کی گئی زیادتی کے برابر سزا دے اور پھر اس پر زیادتی کی جائے تو اللہ ضرور اس کی مدد کرے گا۔ اور اللہ معاف کرنے والا اور سننے والا ہے۔ (61) یہ اس وجہ سے ہے کہ اللہ رات کو دن میں اور دن کو رات میں بدلتا ہے۔ اور اللہ اور دیکھنے والا ہے۔ (62) یہ اس وجہ سے ہے کہ اللہ ہی برحق ہے اور اس کے علاوہ وہ جسے بھی پکارتے ہیں باطل ہے اور اللہ بلند مقام اور بڑاہے۔

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 22:61] Refer to the commentary of Rad: 2 and Anbiya: 33. The omnipotent almighty Allah controls the creation and the working of creation throughout the universe, and He is fully aware of the minutest movement taking place therein. He knows the harm the disbelievers have caused to the believers and that which they are planning to cause. He will bring them to account and punish them when He finds it suitable. He alone knows His plan, its time of execution and the reasons thereof. He is both merciful and just. Human life and human relations are very complicated, and it is Allah alone who is aware of all the subtle intricacies of existence in this world, and hears the cries of all His creatures and answers them. Aqa Mahdi Puya says: The struggle between evil and good, truth and falsehood, and now and then one having an upper hand over the other, has been symbolised by the alternation of night and day-but it is the truth or good which ultimately wins.
