al-Baqarah (The Cow)

ٱلْبَقَرَة

2:43

وَأَقِيمُوا

الصَّلَاةَ

وَآتُوا

الزَّكَاةَ

وَارْكَعُوا

مَعَ

الرَّاكِعِينَ

wa-ʾaqīmū ṣ-ṣalāta wa-ʾātū z-zakāta wa-rkaʿū maʿa r-rākiʿīna

Be steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax (zakat) and bow down in worship with those who do the same.

And establish

وَأَقِيمُوا

the prayer

الصَّلَاةَ

and give

zakah

الزَّكَاةَ

and bow down

those who bow down
