al-Baqarah (The Cow)

ٱلْبَقَرَة

2:42

وَلَا

تَلْبِسُوا

الْحَقَّ

بِالْبَاطِلِ

وَتَكْتُمُوا

الْحَقَّ

وَأَنتُمْ

تَعْلَمُونَ

wa-lā talbisū l-ḥaqqa bi-l-bāṭili wa-taktumū l-ḥaqqa wa-ʾantum taʿlamūna

Do not mix truth with falsehood and do not deliberately hide the truth

And (do) not

وَلَا

mix

تَلْبِسُوا

the Truth

الْحَقَّ

with [the] falsehood

بِالْبَاطِلِ

and conceal

وَتَكْتُمُوا

the Truth

الْحَقَّ

while you

وَأَنتُمْ

[you] know

تَعْلَمُونَ
