al-Baqarah (The Cow)
ٱلْبَقَرَة
2:188
وَلَا
تَأْكُلُوا
أَمْوَالَكُم
بَيْنَكُم
بِالْبَاطِلِ
وَتُدْلُوا
بِهَا
إِلَى
الْحُكَّامِ
لِتَأْكُلُوا
فَرِيقًا
مِّنْ
أَمْوَالِ
النَّاسِ
بِالْإِثْمِ
وَأَنتُمْ
تَعْلَمُونَ
wa-lā taʾkulū ʾamwālakum baynakum bi-l-bāṭili wa-tudlū bihā ʾilā l-ḥukkāmi li-taʾkulū farīqan min ʾamwāli n-nāsi bi-l-ʾithmi wa-ʾantum taʿlamūna
Do not use your property among yourselves in illegal ways and then deliberately bribe the rulers with your property so that you may wrongly acquire the property of others.
