al-Isrā’ (The Night Journey)

ٱلْإِسْرَاء

17:81

وَقُلْ

جَاءَ

الْحَقُّ

وَزَهَقَ

الْبَاطِلُ

إِنَّ

الْبَاطِلَ

كَانَ

زَهُوقًا

wa-qul jāʾa l-ḥaqqu wa-zahaqa l-bāṭilu ʾinna l-bāṭila kāna zahūqan

Say, 'Truth has come and falsehood has been banished; it is doomed to banishment.'"

and perished

وَزَهَقَ

the falsehood

الْبَاطِلُ

Indeed

إِنَّ

(bound) to perish
