al-Isrā’ (The Night Journey)

ٱلْإِسْرَاء

17:74

وَلَوْلَا

أَن

ثَبَّتْنَاكَ

لَقَدْ

كِدتَّ

تَرْكَنُ

إِلَيْهِمْ

شَيْئًا

قَلِيلًا

wa-law-lā ʾan thabbatnāka la-qad kidta tarkanu ʾilayhim shayʾan qalīlan

Had We not strengthened your faith you might have relied on them some how.

And if not

وَلَوْلَا

[that]

أَن

We (had) strengthened you

ثَبَّتْنَاكَ

certainly

لَقَدْ

you almost

كِدتَّ

(would) have inclined

تَرْكَنُ

to them

إِلَيْهِمْ

(in) something

شَيْئًا

a little

قَلِيلًا
