So today We shall deliver your body so that you may be a sign for those who come after you.’ Indeed many of the people are oblivious to Our signs.
Agha Ali Puya Commentary
Commentary on Quran 10:92
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 10:92] (see commentary for verse 75) The mummy of Ramesus II, the last Firawn of the eighteenth dynasty, has been found at Thebes, and is now in a glass case in the museum of Cairo, for every man to look upon (Encyclopaedia Britannica). This discovery confirms the Quran. The Bible does not mention this event. It also confirms the fact that the Quran is a revealed book of Allah otherwise the Holy Prophet would not have known this fact. Imam Muhammad bin Ali al Baqir said: "Firawn and his army was drowned in the sea, but the dead body of Firawn was thrown on the shore so that the people who worshipped him as a god might know that their (false) god was a lifeless decomposed corpse, and men in every age may draw a lesson."
