2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Ali ibn Ribat from Muhammad ibn al-Salt who has narrated the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ , about the case of certain friends who were on a journey when their road was blocked, and they caught the thieves, then certain ones of them testified against the others. He (the Imam) said, ‘Their testimony is not admissible unless the thieves confess or others testify against them.’”
