مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَنَانِ بْنِ سَدِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لِعَلِيٍّ ( عليه السلام ) إِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَرْكَبَ مِيثَرَةً حَمْرَاءَ فَإِنَّهَا مِيثَرَةُ إِبْلِيسَ .

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from his father from Hanan ibn Sadir who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah , saying that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, once said to Ali
, ‘You must never use a red saddlecloth; it is the saddlecloth of Satan.’”
