عَنْهُ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عِيسَى قَالَ
كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الدَّوَابِّ الَّتِي يُعْمَلُ الْخَزُّ مِنْ وَبَرِهَا أَ سِبَاعٌ هِيَ فَكَتَبَ ( عليه السلام ) لَبِسَ الْخَزَّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ جَدِّي ( عليهما السلام ) .
8. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ja‘far ibn ‘Isa who has said the following: “I once wrote to Abu al-Hassan al-Rida about animals from the fur of which al-Khazz is made; if such animals are of predators.’ He (the Imam
) wrote in answer,
‘Al-Husayn bin Ali wore al-Khazz (garments made from skin or fur of an animal that lives in water), and after him my grandfather also did so.’”
