مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( صلوات الله عليه )
قَالَ خَرَجْتُ وَ أَنَا أُرِيدُ دَاوُدَ بْنَ عِيسَى بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ كَانَ يَنْزِلُ بِئْرَ مَيْمُونٍ وَ عَلَيَّ ثَوْبَانِ غَلِيظَانِ فَرَأَيْتُ امْرَأَةً عَجُوزاً وَ مَعَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ فَقُلْتُ يَا عَجُوزُ أَ تُبَاعُ هَاتَانِ الْجَارِيَتَانِ فَقَالَتْ نَعَمْ وَ لَكِنْ لَا يَشْتَرِيهِمَا مِثْلُكَ قُلْتُ وَ لِمَ قَالَتْ لِأَنَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا مُغَنِّيَةٌ وَ الْأُخْرَى زَامِرَةٌفَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى دَاوُدَ بْنِ عِيسَى فَرَفَعَنِي وَ أَجْلَسَنِي فِي مَجْلِسِي فَلَمَّا خَرَجْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هَذَا هَذَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُوسَى الَّذِي يَزْعُمُ أَهْلُ الْعِرَاقِ أَنَّهُ مَفْرُوضُ الطَّاعَةِ .
4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Mu’ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan 
, has said,
‘Once I left home to visit Dawud ibn ‘Isa ibn Ali who camped at Maymun well. I had two thick pieces of clothes on me and I saw an old woman and two girls with her. I asked her if she sells them. She said, ‘Yes, but a man like you will not buy them.’ I asked, ‘Why is it so?’ She replied, ‘One is a singer and the other is a flute player.’ I then met Dawud ibn ‘Isa who treated me with high esteem and gave me my seat. When I left, he asked his companions, ‘Do you know him? This is Ali ibn Musa. People of Iraq believe obedience to him is obligatory.’”
