1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad and A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad all from ibn Mahbub from al-‘ Ab has ibn al-Walid ibn Sabiyh who has said the following:

“Once Shihab ibn ‘ Abd Rabbihi asked me to ask permission for him to visit abu ‘ Abd Allah , and I informed him (the Imam) about it. He (the Imam) said, ’He can visit if he likes.’ I took him to the house of abu ‘Abd Allah . It was during the night and Shihab had a mask on him. I found a furnishing for him to sit on and he sat down. Abu ‘Abd Allah , said to him, ‘O Shihab, remove your mask; it causes doubt during the night and disgrace in the day.’”
