أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ جَرَّاحٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّهُ مَنَعَ مِمَّا يُسْكِرُ
مِنَ الشَّرَابِ كُلِّهِ وَ مَنَعَ النَّقِيرَ وَ نَبِيذَ الدُّبَّاءِ وَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ فَقَلِيلُهُ حَرَامٌ .
2. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from al-Qasim ibn Sulayman from Jarrah al- Mad’iniy who has said the following:
“Abu ‘Abd Allah , prohibited all of intoxicating substances. He (the Imam) prohibited the use of containers made of curved palm tree trunks and pumpkins used as containers for fermentation of al-Nabidh. He (the Imam) said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Whatever is intoxicating in large quantity it is unlawful in small quantity also.’”
