7. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from certain persons of our people who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, Musa , has stated this Hadith.
‘Of the things about which the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, recommended Ali , was his saying, ‘O Ali, you must eat gourd, squash; it increases, al-Damagh, the abilities of the brain and the power of reason.’”
