4. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from his father from Muhammad ibn Ali al-Hamadaniy from ‘Amr ibn ‘Isa from Furat ibn Ahnaf who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, was asked about leeks and he (the Imam) said, Tat it because it has four qualities. It refreshes one’s breath, dispels gases, cuts down hemorrhoids and it is protection against leprosy for one who eats it very often.’”
