عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ وَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولَانِ
مَا عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ ثَمَرَةٌ كَانَتْ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مِنَ الرُّمَّانِ وَ كَانَ وَ اللَّهِ إِذَا أَكَلَهَا أَحَبَّ أَنْ لَا يَشْرَكَهُ فِيهَا أَحَدٌ .
3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Abi ‘Abdillah from his father from Fadhalah bin Ayyub from ‘Umar bin Aban al-Kalbi who has said the following:
“I once heard Aba Ja‘far, and Aba ‘Abdillah AS, saying, ‘No other fruit on earth was as much desirable to the Messenger of Allah SAW, as pomegranate and by Allah, he [the Messenger of Allah] preferred to not share it with anyone.’”
