8. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn Ri’ab from abu Basir who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah , about the case of a man who marries a woman; then pulls the curtains down upon himself and on her and closes the door; then divorces her and the woman is asked, ‘Did he come to you? She says, ‘No, he did not come to me.’ He then is asked, ‘Did you go to her?’ He says, ‘No, I did go to her.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Their words are not accepted because she wants to avoid waiting period from herself and he wants to avoid mahr (dower), meaning when they are accused.’”
