2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from Muhammad ibn abu Hamzah from Shu’ayb al-Hadad who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah , ‘One of your followers offers greetings of peace to you and he wants to marry a woman who has agreed and he likes her due to certain matters about her and she has a husband who has divorced her three times on non-Sunnah basis. He dislikes marrying her without your instruction so you command him to do so. Abu ‘Abd Allah
, said, ‘It is an issue of marriage and the matter of marriage is severe because from marriage are children and we maintain precaution, so he must not marry her.’”
